However, the support for public free email services like Hotmail , Yahoo are not supported by default. First of all, you need to install Thunderbird extension - WebMail. WebMail allow Thunderbird to download and to send emails using the web site. In order to check your Hotmail ’s email, you need to install additional module for this Webmail Extension, named Hotmail for WebMail.
